Peach Bread

1 ½ cups sugar
½ cup shortening
2 eggs
2 ¼ cups peach puree
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 325°F. Move oven rack to middle position.
Grease and flour two 5" x 9" loaf pans.
Cream sugar and shortening together with the mixer.
Add eggs and mix thoroughly.
Add peaches, vanilla, and dry ingredients. Mix only until the dry ingredients are wet!
Pour into the prepared loaf pans that were well greased and floured.
Bake at 325°F for 55 mins to 1 hour.
Let bread cool a few minutes before removing from pan
